Centrally located to Downtown Des Moines, sits our fully remodeled, 5 bedroom, 2 bath home that can sleep 14 guests.
The Hay Loft offers privacy for your large group, yet it’s also close to everything that Des Moines has to offer!
Our amenities include: spacious hot tub, fire-pit, grill, office space and a fully stocked kitchen. Fiber internet/WiFi + smart TVs in every room. Just a couple of blocks from Drake College, and within three miles of the Iowa Event Center and Wells Fargo Arena

Privacy and relaxation. Our backyard boasts a 6 person hot tub, spacious fire pit space*, carpet-ball for the kids, a large propane grill, and comfortable deck seating. Truly a wonderful space to unwind in the evening.

Updated kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for your large group. Starter pack of coffee, tea, creamers and sweetener. Cooking spray, salt & pepper also provided. Dining table seating for 12, with additional chairs in the closet if needed.

Our basement boasts space for everyone to enjoy. We have thoughtfully designed the layout to include a game room, which includes: a 65in TV, Nintendo Wii, Arcade Games, and toys for kids.

Our cozy living room is located on the lower level of the home. It boasts a large sectional and a queen sleeper sofa. You will also find a 65in 4k smart TV. Just login to your favorite streaming app, and enjoy a movie night with the family!

This home has five bedrooms. Three of the bedrooms are on the main floor, and two are on the lower level. There is a king master upstairs, connected to the bathroom. There is another king master on the lower level. The other three bedrooms have queen beds, with one also containing a twin xl.
Additionally, there is a queen sleeper sofa and a twin futon in the living room.
All bedrooms have a smart tv. Just login to your favorite streaming apps through the Roku remote.

Our home offers two full bathrooms. One bathroom is on the main level, with access from the king master bedroom and from the hallway. The second bathroom is on the lower level.
Each bathroom is fully stocked with fresh towels (14 sets total in the house), shampoo, soap, conditioner, and body wash.

Laundry & Parking
Free, off-street parking in the driveway on the back side of the house via alley access (room for 5-6 vehicles). This is a corner lot. Free parking in the street as well. However, please note that the street can sometimes get busy on the weekends, due to events at Drake University.
Lower level washer and dryer available with enough detergent to start off your stay. Ironing board and iron are also available for your use.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home, minus three (3) locked supply/owners closets

Our home has three (3) exterior security cameras. One faces the driveway, one is facing the front door, and the last is on the N side – facing the street. We DO NOT monitor the fire pit, backyard or hot tub. Our goal is to keep the house safe, while respecting your privacy.
RESERVATION DEPOSIT
Please note: every reservation requires a $300 security deposit. We will send a request for the deposit one week prior to check-in. Access to the property will not be granted until it is paid. The security deposit will be fully refunded within 5 business days following check-out, assuming no damages are incurred during your stay
